Assessment
There will be two 60 minute tests, to be held on February
12 and March 19, at 6.45 pm. There will be weekly assignments, due at the
beginning of class on the assigned day (usually Wednesday). Late assignments
cannot be accepted, because of the coordination with the marker. However,
you are allowed to miss one assignment (if you hand in all assignments, I will
drop the one with the lowest mark). There will be a three hour final exam,
scheduled by the registrar.
The final mark is calculated as follows:
Assignments |
20% |
Tests |
40% |
Final exam |
40% |
At Dalhousie, the final grade is a letter grade, whereas throughout
the term you will be getting numerical grades. We will use the translation
A>79%, B>63%, C>50%; D>45%. We reserve the right to alter these slightly
for unforeseen circumstances.
