We have reserved a block of rooms in University Residences. Two types of accommodations are available:
Each of these accommodations has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main difference is that the 2-bedroom suite includes a shared space with kitchenette and the 2-bedroom shared washroom does not. Both include internet, parking, etc. See this flyer for more information.
Each of these room types accommodates two guests, so we encourage you to share with another participant; however, one person must make the reservation on behalf of both. To look for people to share with, please use this Google spreadsheet.

Check-in information: The front desk is located at Risley Hall (1233 Lemarchant Street) and is open 24 hours. So just check in when you get there. The check-in time is 3pm, but if you arrive earlier, you can drop off your luggage at the front desk.

There are a number of Bed & Breakfasts in Halifax, but many seem to have gone out of business during the pandemic, and others may have converted to AirBnB. You should probably consult Tripadvisor.com or Google for an up-to-date list and rates. The following ones still seem to be operating within walking distance of the workshop. I don't have personal experience with any of these, so please check the reviews before you book.

At AirBnB, you can find anything from luxury accommodations to a mattress on the floor of a shared house. I often use this for conferences these days. Your mileage may vary.
