Classes cancelled. I will be away on Wednesday, March 12 and Friday, March 14. These two classes are cancelled; we will make an effort to make up for them at a later date.

Midterms (posted Jan 6). We will have two more midterms. They will be on Monday, February 3 and Monday, March 10. There will also be a final exam in April.

December Exam. According to the registrar's office, our end-of-semester exam will be on Saturday, December 7 at 7pm in the Dalplex. The exam covers Sections 1.1-1.6, 2.1-2.7, and 3.1-3.8.

Handout 1 corrections. In Problem 4, "rectangular box" should be "square box". In Problem 6, "ellipse" should be "parabola".

Midterm. There will be a midterm on Wednesday, October 23 in class. It will cover all material up to the lecture of Wednesday, October 16, i.e., up to the top of page 66 (i.e., including the Lemma on p.65, but not the quotient rule). No calculators or formula sheets will be allowed on the midterm.

No class on Monday, Sept 9. There will be no class on Monday, Sept. 9. See you all on Wednesday!
