Tour of the Mathematics and Knots Exhibit

This is the only know example of an achiral
knot with an odd crossing number. It was discovered in 1998 by
Hoste, Thistlethwaite, and Weeks and it refutes a long standing
conjecture that all achiral knots have even crossing number.
