Welcome to NS Math Circles!

School visits

We love mathematics! When we visit your classroom we will simultaneously engage your struggling and gifted students with some playful thinking. We are aligned with the Nova Scotia Mathematics Teachers Association. Contact us to organize a visit to your grade 1-12 classrooms.

Family Board Games

The #1 objective of the math classroom in elementary school is not arithmetic, but to get students to think and problem-solve. Board games are a celebration of problem-solving. That' s why board games and math education belong together.

Let us put on a family puzzle and board game evening for your school community.

Who: Grade 1-6 students and their families

Where: Your school or a local library

Evening at Dalhousie University

Monthly from September through May we host a puzzle, board game and math-magic evening in the Chase building at Dalhousie University. Contact us to book a place for your students. Supper is provided so please add any food allergies.

What: Puzzles, Board Games & Math-magic Evening

Who: Grades 4+

Where: Room 119, Chase Building, Dalhousie University

Time: 6:00 - 8:30 PM

Date: 3rd Wednesday of every month
